Hyperspectral and Imaging Systems, Hardware, Software, Design, and Services

Used in a space exploration support role, hyperspectral sensors capture reflected energy from observed objects, which is then analyzed to identify attributes not otherwise visible.

Working with NASA, Themis Vision has radically reduced sensor size and eliminated the need for sensor or target motion. These innovations have opened a range of new diagnostic applications to include bio-medical, forensics, counter terrorism, food safety, and earth imaging markets.

Themis Vision's network of image processing analysts, connections to business and export groups, and US/International technology partners, and extensive experience make for a winning combination for clients and future clients alike.

The THEMIS turnkey hyperpsectral product line is the first hyperspectral product in a series of sensors that will span the spectrum from ultraviolet to the infrared. The 100T measures the intensity of reflected energy from any given target at hundreds of narrow wavelengths and stores that information in a digital image format, called a hyperspectral image. Each image contains a complete reflectance spectrum from a given range (UV/VNIR/SWIR) of nanometers for every picture element in the image.

The Transluminouse and Optoluminous Series incorporate patented line scanning techniques and software based on years of integration and design. This patented system platform requires no relative movement between the target and the sensor; a unique capability that eliminates the need to use liquid crystal tunable filters and mirrors that suffer from relatively low throughput. The Transluminous Series uses a prism-grating-prism to separate incoming light into component wavelengths, a method that attenuates less energy, and is therefore especially useful when high signal-to-noise ratios are important.

Themis Vision technology is a 2005 Space Technology Hall of Fame" Award inductee.
